After learning to ride your Segway i2, our expert guides will take you about one mile along the Pacific Ocean boardwalk before heading inland along sidewalks to Kate Sessions Park. There is a nice view from that park but as they say: “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet”. From the park named after the mother of Balboa Park, we head up to the war memorial atop Mt. Soledad. From this 830 foot perch, the view is incredible. You can see the coast of La Jolla to the North, inland toward the city of San Diego to the West, and the downtown San Diego skyline and Mission Bay to the South. Your Segway is powerful and it glides up and down this mountain like its not even there.
Please note: Experience is recommended for this tour. The terrain is mostly sidewalks and although this tour offers a few great views, the rest of the riding is mostly residential and less scenic than our other tours. Our Mission Bay Segway Tour is our most popular tour and it is scenic throughout. The Mission Bay Tour has a much more broad appeal and offers more history of the area. If you are less interested in history and more interested in an adventurous ride up a mountain, then the Mt. Soledad Segway Tour is for you.
Reservations are required. Same-day reservations may be available. If you would prefer to venture out on your own, please see our Segway rentals page.
You may book a tour online or call us during our normal business hours to book a tour. You will be charged an additional 8% convenience fee for booking online.
